What is Roller-Compacted Concrete?

Roller-compacted concrete, or RCC,is a fast, economical and durable paving process that takes its name from the construction method used to build it. It’s placed with conventional or high-density asphalt paving equipment and compacted with rollers. RCC has the same basic ingredients as conventional concrete: cement, water, sand and aggregates (such as gravel or crushed stone). Typically, RCC is constructed with no joints, forms, dowels or steel reinforcing. These characteristics make RCC simple, fast and economical.

  • The fastest applied paving solution
  • Open for use the next day
  • Up to 70% faster turnaround time
  • RCC attains high compressive strength within 36-48 hours

  • Low initial cost
  • Low maintenance costs
  • Requires minimal labor
  • Uses no forms, dowels or reinforcing steel
  • Requires no conventional finishing

  • Proven long-term performance
  • Ideal for heavy, concentrated loads
  • Will not soften under high temperatures
