Rollcon provided paving and soil stabilization for more than 30 miles of Gran San Jacinto’s neighborhood streets. The Rollcon roller-compacted concrete (RCC) paving solution for Gran San Jacinto provided six-inch thick pavement for the project’s more than 3.5 million square feet of roadways. The durability of RCC means Gran San Jacinto’s 22 foot-wide streets can last up to 20 years without failures, more than twice as long as asphalt. RCC provides many other benefits, including minimal labor costs, high strength, low maintenance costs, and next-day traffic. Rollcon, working jointly with the Cement Council of Texas and Holcim, helped to develop the standards approved for RCC paving in Liberty County.
