Rollcon installed 21,000 CY of 15” roller-compacted concrete (RCC) in place of its existing aggregate base yard. The main challenge was working around the continuous operation of the facility. The second largest challenge was the requirement to design final paving elevations of the RCC that were the same as the final elevations of the existing aggregate base. The scope of the project included milling 15” of the existing aggregate base, cement stabilization of the existing subgrade, and placement of 15” RCC. Rollcon successfully completed all four phases of the project.
